My name is George Wan, and I am currently living in LA working as an analyst at Moelis & Company.
My interest in photography comes from my love for the outdoors. Growing up, I went on a lot of roadtrips with my dad to explore the Canadian wilderness. Many of the sights that I saw were stunning–-that is, my most flattering recollection of them was the word "stunning". Because my memory was the only tool I had at the time to capture the moment, I only remember those grand panoramas now as mere adjectives trying to encapsulate since forgotten feelings standing there in person.
I bought my DSLR in freshman year of college and worked on developing my skills so that in the future, I hope I never have to remember a view as "stunning" or describe a place to someone as "beautiful". To me, the power of photography is to preserve experiences and render them ineffable.
